Weekend News

This weekend I decided to go back home to Mayville. On Saturday none the less in the snowstorm! This was not the smartest decision I had ever made, but I had my mindset to go home and gosh darn it, I was going to go home. For those of you that know me well, this should come as no surprise to you. lol

My mom wasn't impressed! But she was very happy to see Kamryn. It was a very nice visit. Just relaxing by my parents. We went to church on Sunday, then went to lunch/breakfast. I then went to visit my in-laws for a bit before heading home.

This weekend we have a birthday party on Saturday so we will staying in town this weekend, which is ok.

That's all from this side of town. Sorry, nothing real exciting happening in my life.

Pardon the Interruption

Kamryn went potty on the big girl potty!!!!!!!!!

I set her on the potty because I asked her if she wanted to go potty which usually is followed by her shaking her head no. But this time she ran to the stairs and climbed up and went in the bathroom.

I took her diaper off, read her a book, played with a candle and some stones that were in with the candle and lo and behold she went potty! We did a little dance, dumped her potty in the "big" potty, she flushed the toilet and then went to go sit back down on her potty to play some more. It was a long drawn out process, but so worth it!

I am pretty sure she had no idea what she had done, but that is besides the point!!

I am so proud of you Kamryn Nevaeh!

Special Day!

Today was a very special day. Mallory Seabaugh was baptised! It was such an honor to be asked to be her Godmother. I have 3 other Godchildren and everytime I get asked to be Godmother is such a special time for me. To me it means that the parents know that I am strong in my faith and that I lead a Godly life. That in itself is special, but also for the parents to trust me with their child is something that I am very proud of!

Mallory cried bloody murder during her entire baptism especially when that mean Pastor (daddy) poured water on her head! It broke my heart to see her crying like that, but shortly after she was content in her carseat! :-)

We then enjoyed a fabulous spagetti lunch that the youth at our church put on. It was very very good! And it supports a good cause as well.

The pictures are obviously from baptism, but also there are two of Kamryn, one with her trying to put on daddy's boot. She already had her hat on and wanted to go outside, so she needed shoes on as well. Daddy's boots were a bit big! :-)

The other picture is of Kamryn with a pony in! This is significant, because she very rarely lets me put them in her hair. Or she does, but 30 seconds later she tears it back out. She must have known we were going to see her boyfriend Isaiah and she wanted to look good! lol

Till next time...............

Lots to do

<
Yesterday was another busy day, but first I will start with our trip to Fleet Farm. Tuesday when it was so nice out Ken and I went around the yard picking up dog dodo. Kamryn was having a blast with all the puddles in the yard! Needless to say her shoes and socks were soaked as well as her pants, but she didn't care. I told Ken she needed rain gloshes before Spring. So that is what we did. We went to Fleet to get her a pair. They are ladybug gloshes and she was pretty proud of them. Walked all over Fleet with 'em on because she wouldn't let us take them off.

Gunner got his staples out yesterday and the dr's were very happy with his progress. He still needs to take it easy for another couple of weeks, but drs expect a complete recovery!

So back to the beginning of our day yesterday. In the morning we went to Kohl's with Becky so she and I could both get an outfit for Mallory's baptism on Sunday. I found a top that is okay. Shopping yesterday that confirmed that I really need to lose this weight! Anyways, Becky found a really pretty outfit that she looks great in! Then we went to playgroup which I haven't been to in MONTHS! It was nice to get back. While waiting for Daniel to get home from school I attempted to paint Kamryn's nails. She sat really good, but the minute I got done with one nail she was touching it. So it was a lost cause!!!! :-) It was also my last day watching Daniel until his mom finds a new job. He is a really good kid and I miss having him here, so I took him to McDonalds for a treat. Becky and the kids came with. It was a lot of fun. It was the first time Isaiah had been to the play area and he was totally impressed. He couldn't stop smiling.

Then last night we went to church to help set up and get ready for the Spagetti Dinner on Sunday. Didn't get home until 8:45pm or so. It was a long day.

I'm glad we don't have much going on today.

Tease!

The weather today was outstanding! I know the snow isn't over, but by god was it nice to get outside today!!!

Becky came over with the kids for the day and it was so much fun. We went for a walk, ate lunch, and played games with the little boy I watch Daniel. Kamryn had so much fun playing with Isaiah again. She really misses having him here everyday. I'm not sure Isaiah misses her though! lol

Here are some pictures from the day as well as one from this weekend of Kaden, Kamryn and Aunt Nell!

Tubby Time

We haven't had much going on lately. Gunner is getting much better! Naughty like the old Gunner we know. He is still a little slow on the back end when getting up, but I think that may have more to do with arthritis then the surgery. Kamryn is getting over her cold and double ear infection. She is also acting like her old self again, being goofy, laughing, trying to get us to laugh with her. It is so much fun!

Anyways, here are some pictures of Kamryn in the tubby. However, she used to say tubby, but now has become more sophisticated and says bat (bath)! She cracks me up!

This weekend is going to be busy! Tonight we are going home for my mom's birthday and returning to Appleton Saturday late afternoon. Saturday night Kamryn and I are going over to Becky's to hang out and scrap with Jodie since the guys are going to at a basketball game. Or as I like to call it squeaky feet. God I hate watching basketball! Anyways, then on Sunday I am going to bible study and home to clean. I can hardly wait for the cleaning to happen. lol

Have a great weekend everyone! It's suppose to be above freezing this weekend! Time to break out the shorts.........

Scrapping Retreat

I am back from my scrapping retreat! Janell and I arrived in Eau Claire on Friday around 2:30 in one piece! It's amazing to those that know my sense of direction and ability to read a map etc. Thanks to the GPS that Ken got me from work for the weekend. It was a life saver.

Anyways, what a beautiful place this retreat was. It is called GreenHaven Retreat. They had beautiful quiet peaceful bedrooms, 4 whirlpool type tubs in the back of the retreat as well as a living room with gas fireplace, big kitchen/dining area. And of course a huge room for all of the scrapping to take place. Cricut, computers, internet. You name it, they had it!

For Janell and I it was the first time leaving our kids for a weekend. That was the hardest part. Espeically at night, when that is usually cuddle time, bath time, and for me rocking my princess to sleep!

Ken did admit that he missed me and he now appreciates what I go through when he leaves on his fishing/hunting trips. That alone was reason enough for me to have gone on this retreat. It's hard, and I'm not sure how single parents do it!

But, unfortunetly because I am the great scrapper I am, I forgot my camera so I don't have any pictures. My good friend Colette should be emailing me the couple that she took for me. As soon as I get them, I will post them for you to see.
