Oh Goodness!

Tell me it really hasn't been that long since I've posted something on my blog! YIKES....

Things have been crazy to say the least, but in a good way. As most of you already know we are expecting another baby! The due date is January 17 and I am a little over 13 weeks pregnant. Everything is going great so far.

Kamryn is very excited to have a baby sister. By the way we obviously don't know what we're having nor are we going to find out this time, but Kamryn doesn't want a brother! So we shall see. lol Almost everyday she lifts my shirt and gives the baby a kiss and a hug. It is so sweet. I know she is going to be a great big sister and love the baby no matter what the gender.

Other news, Kamryn is doing great in daycare and just loves her teachers. When she gets up in the morning the first thing she asks if she's going to daycare and if we can go now which is usually around 7am! She doesn't go until 10:30! It's usually a looooong morning.

I really can't believe it's been this long since I've blogged and I really don't have much else to write about off the top of my head.

I will try to do better, I've been taking pictures, but don't have the energy to download them! I know I'm terrible, but I dont' scrap again until August so I have time! :-)

Please continue to pray for me and baby and hopes that the next 6 months go smoothly and end with a healthy happy baby! Boy or Girl it doesn't matter..................

Outside

We have been spending a lot of time outside lately! Kamryn got a swingset from mommy and daddy, which she loves.

Last summer I think she hated swings or slides one of the two and now this year she loves the slide and she can't go high enough on the swing.

The only thing I wish is that our backyard was fenced in so I could feel safe leaving her out there while I do laundry etc. I can leave her out there while I do dishes or anything in the kitchen cause obviously I can still see her.

None the less though we bought the swingset from Craigslist. We have been pretty lucky on Craigslist. We bought my Impala on Craigslist and now the swingset. Whoever invented that was a genius!!

The past 2 weekends we are staying in Appleton and are loving it! Not having to pack, getting some cleaning done etc. It's been nice. But we are going to Mayville again next weekend for my dad's birthday and Godson Bryce's birthday. We are thinking it's just going to be a day trip so we are home to celebrate Mother's Day as our own family. Go to church, maybe go to the New Zoo?

I continue to enjoy my job in the Parks and Recreation Dept. And Kamryn LOVES daycare. Her teachers wish she would attend full-time! :-)

We also bought a new camera so hopefully I can get back to taking more pictures. It's a Nikon Coolpix S650. And I am hoping that my friends Jean and Gretchen will teach me all the neat things it's suppose to be able to do, that I am too camera illiterate to figure out.

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mommy's reading this!

Busy weekends

These last couple of weekends have been full of driving back and forth from Appleton to Mayville. We had Easter last weekend and came home, this weekend we went to Milwaukee to the Museum and then had my cousin Eric's going away party who is being deployed. And yet again next weekend coming back to Mayville to get my car fixed by my favorite mechanic (father-in-law), haircut, and shopping with my sister!

Ken leaves on Saturday for a fishing trip for a week. Not looking forward to being a single mom for a week. Thankfully I'll get a break when I go to work. :-) Love her to pieces, but thankful for a break.

We then don't plan on coming home for a full weekend until the end of May for turkey hunting.

We enjoy coming home and spending time with family, but packing, unpacking, driving, gets old! And our stuff around the house in Appleton has to get done also.

So that's what has been going on in a nutshell. Kamryn is getting bigger and sassier by the day! She is too smart for her own good is the problem. She doesn't miss much! She is so much fun to listen to and just watch! We are so lucky to have her in our life.

What was life like before her?!?!?!?!?

Pampering

What a great day with great friends!

This afternoon Shelly and Janell came up to celebrate Shelly's 30th birthday! She chose to go to Confucious which is a very good Chinese Restaurant in Appleton.

Then we decided to pamper ourselves with a pedicure and manicure. It was nice to laugh and talk about past memories!

Thanks for driving to Appleton guys, I had a great time and I hope you guys did as well!

Storytime to the Circus

This weekend was action packed! We went to the PAC (Performing Art Center) in Appleton to see Storytime live which featured some of Kamryn's favorite shows. Wonder Pets, Kai Lan, Backyardigans and her all time favorite Dora. I would have loved to have taken pictures, but they wouldn't let you. We went with our friends Haley, Ben and Bella! It was nice to see them again. However, we were a bit disappointed with the show. It wasn't what we expected and I guess after going to Sesame Street Live and LOVED IT, this was a bit of a disappointment as far as costumes etc. Kamryn still liked it, but again just not what we expected.

Then on Sunday after church we went to Green Bay to see the circus that was in town. I don't even remember going to the circus when I was little, but Ken said he did and wanted to take Kamryn so we did. To be honest I'm not sure I'm a fan of the circus. I've heard of them abusing the animals that are performing etc. But we went in spite of my feelings. Kamryn enjoyed it for the most part. Now keep in mind she was up at 6:40am went to 8am church and the show in Green Bay was at 11am. So she slept on the way up for maybe 40 minutes then was up for the show. So needless to say, by the time intermission came around she was ready to go home. We got to see the tigers as well as the elephant perform and some dancers. We didn't get to see any of the "stunts". But it was an experience!

So to sum the weekend up I would have to say it was 0 for 2. :-( But it was family time so I definetly can't complain about that. And the weather was BEAUTIFUL!

Dare I say SPRING is just around the corner? Let's hope so!!

Women's Retreat 2010

This past weekend I did something I have never done before. I went to a Women's Retreat in Elkhart Lake with one of my best friends Becky Seabaugh. The retreat is through our church as well as several other Lutheran churches in our area.

What a great experience. The resort we stayed at was BEAUTIFUL. We stayed at the Osthoff Resort. It was very relaxing. Every night Becky and I retreated to the hot tub after our day of bible study and group sessions. It was very nice. We also took a walk around the resort and took pictures of course as well as just hung out in our room with peace and quiet! Took some time to reflect as well as to read, which is something unheard of at home. :-)

We walked away with the relization that we need to take more time for the little things. Cleaning the house, and worrying about what needs to get done next, all day everyday is silly. Our kids are only going to be little once and our life is only so long. Make it the best that it can be! Don't sweat the small stuff. We should be reflecting daily and taking time for the little things in life that are important. To many times a day I am telling Kamryn to just wait so I can get this or that done, when all she wants is some mommy time. In reality I need to stop what I'm doing and listen to her. And give her that time, because one day hopefully not anytime soon, she won't want me. I won't be "cool" to hang out with. lol

We arrived at the retreat Friday night and were back home Sunday afternoon, which doesn't seem like a long time, but Saturday night Becky and I both really missed our kids. On Friday when we left for the retreat we were excited to get a break, but at the same time we missed them the very next night!

We plan on going back again next year and hopefully my sister will join us.

Happy Birthday Grandma Z weekend!

This weekend once again we went back to Mayville for Grandma Zastrow's birthday. We also spent time with Grandma and Grandpa Puls of course. :-)

Not really much to write about. I think the pictures tell you that we had fun this weekend! As well as some pictures of Funset Blvd that we went to Thursday night. Kamryn was a bit young for most of it, but she still had fun.

Tomorrow we are going to visit another daycare. One that I have had my eye on for a long time, but it was just too expensive. Somehow, someway God works in mysterious ways and has made it possible for us! The daycare is willing to work with us and another family to make it possible to go part-time which this daycare usually doesn't take part-time families. Also, this daycare takes infants, which our current daycare only takes 2 and up. Our current daycare is fine, but with the possiblity of us having another baby we need to keep in mind that when we have another baby Kamryn would need to get pulled out of her current daycare to attend the same daycare as her brother/sister for convenience purposes. So we would rather pull Kamryn now and have her get adjusted to her new daycare now instead of a year from now. Which in our opinion would be harder! I am very excited, but this almost seems to good to be true. So we are going into this cautiously!

So anyways, on with the pictures! OH!! Please everyone (in WI) drive carefully this week as we prepare for what sounds like one more snowstorm before Spring!

Sawyer is getting so big!

New Adventures...............

Lots of new things and new adventures are going to be taking place in the next week. As many of you already know I got a new job! I will be working part-time with the City of Neenah in the Parks and Rec department. I am very excited for this new adventure and a chance to get back into the office which I have been missing! However, this also means that Kamryn is going to be going to daycare. I am VERY Nervous! This is the first time she will be in daycare and I'm so worried she isn't going to adjust to mommy not being with her. I'm afraid she is going to hate me,and not trust me and, and, and,and........... I try to talk myself into the fact that this is going to be GREAT for her and that eventually she will LOVE daycare. And she will get dropped off around 11:30 and Ken will be picking up by 3:15 or 3:30 so it's not a long day by any means. But the transition is going to be tough on both of us. But she is going to a Lutheran Daycare which I think is great. The teacher seemed nice, but it's so hard to tell. I just hope and pray we are doing the right thing.

So unto this past weekend. We went to Mayville on Saturday to the Keach Christmas Party as well as to get my hair done by Trisha Puls. The party was fun, and I like my hair! Sunday we visited with Grandma and PaPa Z. Kamryn and Kaden played together and were fighting over PaPa's binoculars. Apparently they bird watch with them out the patio door. It was HILARIOUS!!! I got some pictures of Kamryn with them. Too cute.......

This weekend I have scrapbooking on Saturday at church and then Sunday we are once again going to Mayville to celebrate Kaden's THIRD birthday! I can't believe he is going to be three. It doesn't seem real. God I'm getting old!

Anyways, here are some pictures of Kamryn's daycare as well as the "bird watcher".
