Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS! I hope everyone had a great Christmas and that you all got to spend time with family and friends.

Ken and I are very thankful to have had the opportunity to do just that, but are just as thankful to be back home! It has been a very busy couple of weeks. Traveling to Mayville for Christmas parties before Christmas and then again for Christmas!

Kamryn got spoiled once again this year by grandparents and aunts and uncles. I can't really complain for myself either. I got Ken the WII and I guess he also got me the WII, but figured it out and then took his back and got me the WII Fit Plus which I love! So we both got spoiled for Christmas. :-) It was nice to be able to spend time with family as well. The time usually goes by way to quickly and we never get a chance to visit with ALL of my relatives which stinks. The Finke side of the family used to get together, but that changed a couple of years ago and now nobody does it which is unfortunate, because that is when everyone always got to see those we don't get to see all the time. But sometimes that's how life goes.

Anyways, now unto New Years! We don't have any big plans. Grilling steak and having shrimp with maybe a glass or two of wine and playing WII! I think either my parents or Ken's parents maybe coming up to celebrate with us, but other than that, just spending time with each other.

I hope 2010 brings everything that you are wishing and hoping for!

Cookies and Santa Oh My!

December is always busy for us and probably for most of you!

Christmas shopping, baking cookies, decorating the house and the list could go on and on.

However, Christmas is my favorite holiday. I love remembering about baby Jesus being born and now sharing that with Kamryn and then of course spending time with familiy some of which we only get to see once a year. It's always a bit stressful running here and there, but it's worth it in my opinion!

The last week or so we have been decorating the house and baking christmas cookies and of course our visit with Santa!

Kamryn is so much fun this year, because I think she may just be starting to "get" it. We talk to her about Christmas and what it means and she says it's Jesus' birthday soon and sings him happy birthday! It's so cute! This year, we got her a twin bed with Dora the Explorer sheets. She gets so many neat toys and gifts from Grandma's and Grandpa's and Aunts and Uncles we thought a "big" girl bed would be great and that way hopefully sleeps through the night in HER bed instead of sneaking into our bed! :-)

If I don't blog agian until after Christmas I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Blessed New Year! We have so much to be thankful for. Please remember our troops who won't be home for Christmas and keep them in your prayers!!

Enjoy the snow!!!!

Gobble Gobble to Sesame Street

So we went home Wednesday night after I got done with work for a long weekend of eating and family. And we did just that.

Kamryn always has so much fun with both grandparents and it's always so hard to go home at the end because she just cries when she has to leave Grandma and Grandpa's it breaks my heart. But I know that she loves them so much and has so much fun with them. Which it's times that that which makes me wish we lived closer!

Anways, so Thursday we ate Thanksgiving by Ken's parents, Friday morning Ken's mom and I went shopping and found some good deals as usual. Then Friday night we went over to my parents for Thanksgiving with my sister and her family. Always a good time, played some dominoes game for the first time which had way to many rules and regulations for my liking! Sorry Janell! :-)

Now unto the favorite part of the weekend! SUNDAY! Janell had gotten Kamryn Sesame Street Live tickets for her birthday and this was the weekend that was the show. Kaden and Kamryn had so much fun! I was a bit nervous, I just thought they may still be too young, but boy was I wrong. They LOVED IT!! It was so much fun watching them dance and clap and interact with the Sesame Street characters. If only my darn camera worked (hopefully Santa is reading this) decent we would have gotten some good shots, but hopefully you can still kinds see. It was just a great day with the kids and my sister. Thanks again Janell we really enjoyed it.

So now it's back to reality with work and housework and getting things decorated and ready for my favorite holiday! CHRISTMAS...................

Enjoy the pictures!!! I have a few more pictures on Facebook.

Thought I was "healed".

Tonight a friend of mine Jean invited me to a Tree of Light Rememberance Wreath Memorial Service. It's for people that have lost whether that be miscarriage, infant or child.

It has been about 3 years since my last miscarriage and I truly thought that things were better. Yes, I think about my babies everyday. Everyday I look at the tattoo I got for them and wish they were with me. EVERYDAY! But you know, I was doing good, I have Kamryn who is the love of my life. I am no longer in tears everytime I think about them.

So tonight I went to in all honesty to help support Carly and Jean since their losses were more recent then mine. But you know what? I wasn't much support.

I still hurt! I still miss my babies terribly and I cried! I cried a lot during the service. To be surrounded by people that are in the same boat as you and some whose loss were just a couple months new was heartwretching and comforting at the same time. To know that I'm not alone and that people are losing babies everyday. It felt good to let my feelings out to not be ashamed or imbarrassed that yes, I still hurt.

One saying that hit me hard was:

Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.

I truly hope that my babies are happy in heaven and that when it's my time to go they are there to greet me at the gates of heaven and welcome their mommy home.

I love and miss you always!

Love Mommy! XX OO

Thanks for inviting me Jean.

The Great Pumpkin Carving

Tonight we started a tradition that I hope to continue for years to come. Kamryn and daddy carved their pumpkins! My sister, dad and I always did and we enjoyed it as well.

Most of you know how much Kamryn LOVES Dora so I went online and found an outline of Dora and of course my loving and artistic husband cut it out! It looks great! He then found himself an outline that he liked as well.

One of the pictures on here has nothing to do with pumpkin carving, but Aunt Nell wanted to see Kamryn playing with her Dora doll that she got for her birthday in the tub. So here you go Aunt Nell! She loves it! However, it doesn't swim in the water, but Kamryn could care less. Thank you Aunt Nell!

Vacation and Birthday Party

Lots going on again. We spent a week in Mayville with lots to do. Spent lots of time with grandma and grandpa Puls which was nice. We also visited with Aunt Nell, Kaden and Sawer. Also, a bit of time with grandma and granpa Z. Ken did lots of duck hunting and we both did a little bit of turkey hunting with little success. Oh well, we seen lots and that is just as fun! On Tuesday we met Carly, Aidan and Sienna at Little Farmer for some Fall fun, which didn't turn out so good. It was rainy and cold, but the kids still had fun and the carmel apples are good either way!!

Now, unto the birthday party. We had just a few close friends and family over since our house isn't huge. But it is always fun! Kamryn was thrilled with opening gifts this year which was fun. She even attempted to blow out her candle which even I was surprised with. She didn't get it blown out, but the attempt was worth it! The cupcakes turned out nice. With Elmo, Cookie Monster and Ernie making the appearance. Thank you honey for once again job well done!

Kamryn got lots of nice gifts which I'm not going to name them all. All of them are appreciated and we are so thankful for such great friends and family to spend time with.

Kitchen

We had a creek going by the cabin with this cute little bridge!

But like I said it was great to spend time with my mom and dad and make more memories for Kamryn! Not a lost weekend by any means. And I don't mean for it to sound like I didn't have a good time, because anytime with family is a good time. Just now we know next time what to maybe do a little different. Learning experience!

Well anyways, while we were gone our kitchen and living room were being painted. Or I should say just kitchen and our ceilings. He didn't think he would be able to get to the living room until this coming week. And he was right. The kitchen and ceilings are done, but not the living room and hallways. It looks awesome!! I am really happy with the color choice. He said the ceilings were horrible with the popcorn on them and he kind of knew that, but he said they were worse then he thought! :-) Glad I didn't do it! So this weekend he is coming back to finish just in time for Kamryn's birthday party!

Speaking of which, grandma and papa Z took Kamryn to Build a Bear when we got back into Appleton and let her pick one out for her birthday. She picked out a horse since she loves horsies! We choose a name and her name is "Penny"! Kamryn was thrilled. They bought the horse two outfits as well. Thank you grandma and papa!!

Here are pictures from the weekend. I'm sure I will need to blogs for this so bear with me!

We leave for Mayville on Monday afternoon and stay till Thursday. So I'll probably have more pictures!

More Fall Pictures

It's a mixture of my fall decorations and our pumpkin patch trip, but I think you should be able to figure it out! I'm too lazy to write all the little things under each picture. Sorry!! But at least I'm blogging!! :-)

Pumpkin Patch Take 1 and Fall Decorating

I say Pumpkin Patch take 1 because we plan on going to at least 1 more pumpkin patch this month! :-)

Today, daddy, Kamryn and I went to Cuff's Pumpkin Farm in Hortonville. It was part of Modern Woodman which I am a member of so we got a postcard for a special offer. It was 6.00 per person and under 2 was free. So 12.00 for ALOT of stuff, more than we thought actually. We got a hayride and then each person got one big pumpkin whatever size you picked from the pumpkin patch, one small pumpkin, one gourd and 2 indian corn each! Then we also got 2.00 per person each to spend on food and drink. And also, we got to ride a little train ride which was a four-wheeler with a bunch of car type dealies attached to it for free. Kamryn really enjoyed herself.

Last weekend I also put up the majority of my fall decorations. The only thing missing is my indian corn stalks tied to the poles on the porch in front of the house. But those will be up this week! :-)

Lots to do this week as we are getting our living room and kitchen painted, leaving town on Friday for a brief weekend getaway with my parents. Really looking forward to a weekend away.

Here are some pictures of today as well as some of my decorations. Fall is my favorite time of year so I can't help but take lots of pictures!!!
