First of Many

Last night Ken and I went to the gym (Gold's Gym) we just joined. They have a daycare there as well so we thought great, we can bring Kamryn in and also get a workout. Well half hour into my workout, one of the workers had to come find me because a little girl also in daycare clocked Kamryn with a toy!
Of course my first concern was Kamryn, but after I found out she was fine, besides the big red mark on her eye I started looking around. There had to be at least a dozen kids in the playroom and only TWO adults watching them. Also, one of the workers told me this little girl had been hitting other kids since she had been in there. HELLO find her mom and dad and REMOVE her from the center for the day! As many of you know I have worked in daycare before and to my knowledge there were more kid to adult ratio then there should have been. I didn't say anything, but just got to thinking. So this morning it was still bugging me and I called the manager at the Gym and told him what happened and my concerns. He said he would definetly be looking into this and it shouldn't happen again. So we will see. If it happens again we will be pulling her out of the center and demanding a refund of childcare since it costs us an extra $10.00 a month for daycare. GRRRRRRRR Just frusterating!

I have been watching Isaiah for the past two days. And he is adjusting nicely. Still sleeping today since 10:30am he was a tired little boy. Hasn't even eaten lunch yet. Gunner keeps stealing his crackers out of his hand so Ken and I are working on that. He has to learn that not all food is his! But try to tell that to Gunner! :-) Poor Isaiah! But he watches closely for Gunner now and when he comes near, Isaiah runs if he has a cracker in his hand. :-)

Well, tonight it's the gym again and then church. Tomorrow we leave for Wausau to the waterpark. I am looking forward to it! The neighbors said they would watch Gunner while we are gone, so that is good that way he can be in his own house instead of being stressed at the kennel. He can't handle stress very well anymore!
Have a safe and happy extended weekend everyone! (I have to work Monday it's not that extended for me, oh well!)

One Step At A Time

Nothing really happening the last couple of days besides me working. But the store is finally coming together, it looks really nice. Tonight is my last night for the rest of the week! YEAH!

Sooooooooo yesterday afternoon Kamryn took 3-4 steps all by herself!!!! And last night for Ken she also took a couple steps here and there as well. I think my baby girl is going to be walking soon! It's exciting and sad at the same time. I have the video camera on stand by, but as she does it at unexpected times that by the time I get the camera she has already sat back down.

Today Becky and Isaiah are going to come over for some scrappin action! I am slowly getting behind on pictures and layouts and in a few short months Kamryn will be one and I am still doing her 6 month pics! So lots to do.......

Till tomorrow have a good night!

Exciting News

Well those of you that have been waiting for Michael's to open it's Sept 7th! I think there maybe a family/friends day prior to that, but I will let you know as soon as I do. It is going to be an awesome store! Last night I worked and stocked shelves in no other area then.................Scrapbooking!!!! Oh, my goodness I better start a list of Wants and Have to Have's now! I worked with an older lady that is an avid card maker and I thought I was going to have to ressecitate her. She was just as excited as I was if not more. It is nice to work with people that truly have a passion for crafts not just for the $$$. So we hit it off nicely last night and time actually went pretty fast.

I now have a greater appreciation of spending time with Kamryn. Not that I didn't before, but just to get that little break makes a world of difference. And Ken said he appreciates that time with just Kamryn and Gunner no mommy interference! :-) (I don't know what he meant)

Well that's it for now, my schedule is as follows if anybody cares Friday 5-9, Saturday 8-5, Sunday 8-5, Mon 5-9, Tues 5-9. Rest of the week I am off as we are going to Wausau for Labor Day weekend to an indoor waterpark with friends. I am really looking forward to that!

Have a good night............

Start of things to come

Today was a trial day for me watching Isaiah while Becky went to school for the day. Isaiah I think is one of the easiest kids to watch. He plays by himself and doesn't really get into any trouble. He chooses to ignore the word "no" so that we will have to work on, but seriously what a good kid. I think I am really going to enjoy watching him. Kamryn loves to have someone to watch anyways. Isaiah isn't a big fan of Kamryn constantly wanting to play with him, pull his shirt, take his toys etc, but this should be a good learning experience for both of them as far as sharing etc. I have a feeling they are going to fight like brother and sister! :-)

Last night was my first night of work. It actually went well. We are just stocking shelves for the next two weeks until the store opens. So you basically work by yourself in your assigned aisle and unpack boxes and put the items where they belong. I work Wednesday, Friday from 5pm-9pm and Sat 8-5. I'm not a big fan of stocking shelves for 8+ hours on Saturday but what do you do. I have my class reunion on Saturday that I am going to have to miss now, because I can't very well ask off of work when I just started, so I am a bit disappointed with that, but whatta do?

Oh, and yesterday I got my hairs chopped! I have a picture attached. You can't really see the whole haircut, but you can get a good idea. Jodie watched Kamryn while I got my haircut yesterday afternoon and last night for awhile because I had to work and Ken had a dinner function to go to. Thank you so much Jodie! We really appreciate it.

That is all of the peanut gallery! Have a good night..........

It's a Zoo out there!

I am finally back home again after being with my mom since Tuesday. As some of you may or may not have heard, but she was injured pretty bad at work Tuesday morning and needed surgery to repair two broken bones on her index finger that was crushed by a machine at her work. She thankfully is doing better now, but her finger is still throbbing pretty bad. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that she just can't sit down, she is always going, going, going. And when she does sit down, it's already to late her finger is already throbbing. She'll learn soon enough. She's goes to the dr on Monday to find out how long she will be out of work and what the next step is. Janell is going with her so she will be mom's third ear. My mom tends not to listen to much or gets things confused. So hopefully Janell with keep it straight. Bring paper and pen Janell to write notes! Please keep my mom in your prayers, thank you!

Today Becky, Isaiah, Janell, Kaden and Kamryn and I went to the Greenville Zoo. I wasn't sure what to expect since I LOVE the Milwaukee Zoo. But I was pleasantly surprised. What a neat zoo! The petting zoo was Kamryn's

favorite by far. That girl has something with goats! She didn't really want much to do with the rabbits, lhamas (I think they were) or anything else really. As the picture shows she is not afraid at all of the goats. Infact this one walked right up to her and she put her hands out and petted it! How adorable is that? We then went to Noodles for lunch...Yummy as always. Then went to check out the new Joann Fabric store. VERY NICE!! Must see..... And then of course we stopped at Archivers. I found cardstock already done 5x7's for Kamryn's birthday invites! So now I can finally get started. YEAH

Tonight I am going out with some friends from SII for a couple drinks and dinner. It is always nice to get together with them. They are always a lot of fun.

This weekend we don't have much planned. Sunday I have orientation at Michael's in the afternoon. So maybe church in the am and work in the pm.

Have a good night!

News!

Not much to write about other then the fact that I am now a new employee of MICHAEL's! So get your orders together ladies as I'm sure you will be taking advantage of me with the employee discount!

I start next week as a sales associate. The store doesn't open till next month. Sorry Becky! So we will just be stocking shelves etc.

I will be working 15-20 hours a week including some weekends. Not real impressed with the weekend part, but that comes with the business. I thought I would give it a try and if I get burnt out well then at least I tried. It will be nice to get scrapbooking stuff for cheaper as well as extra cash for the family never hurts!

Have a good night!

Sunday Sunday

Well as mentioned in my previous blog, we went to early church this morning, which Kamryn did very well in! I think I am going to start taking her up the the children's message so that she gets used to that. Not that she will get anything out of it, but she loves to watch other kids so it maybe good for her. Her boyfriend Isaiah is going to start going as well so they can go up together! :-)

We went to Oshkosh to the Golden Coral for Grandma Keach's 86th birthday. They brought out a cake at the end with not just a candle, but a flippin firework type thing. It sparked all over, I thought the smoke alarms were going to go off. Grandma thought that was pretty cool.
Last but not least we went to the Menominee Park Zoo in Oshkosh. It was nothing spectacular by any means, but it was nice. It's free so you can't expect much. Aunt Keri and Uncle Harland bought Kamryn a pair of sunglasses as you will see in the picture below. THANK YOU Aunt Keri and Uncle Harland!

Grandma and Grandpa and Keri and Harland didn't stick around to ride the train, which was actually a good thing, because we never ended up riding it. Kamryn had had enough for the day and didn't want nothing to do with the train! Thankfully the train hadn't left yet so we just got off and went home.

That was our Sunday! Till tomorrow..........................................

Miller Picnic Pictures

Time Flys!

Today 6 years ago I married my best friend. The one I laugh with, live for, dream with and love! I couldn't have imagined that we would be where we are today. A beautiful daughter, a place to call home, and great family and friends! We are truly blessed.

We spent the day by going to Miller Electrics Employee Picnic. We haven't gone in years past because it is very much family oriented. Kids games, rides, petting zoo etc. And this year thankfully we could. Kamryn had fun. We rode on a camel, a Llama, petted goats, and even a turtle! I had three scruptious corn on the cob. God those were good! Kamryn and daddy shared some shaved ice. They even had choclate dipped bananas. We didn't have any, that doesn't even sound good to me. Anyways, Kamryn also got a balloon which she was fascinated with. Sadly however, we got home and Gunner had enough of her bouncing it all around and he popped it on her. She was very very sad as you will see in the following pictures. She got over it quickly, but non the less very sad.

Tomorrow we have another fun day planned. We are going to early church then we are meeting up with Ken's mom's side of the family in Oshkosh to celebrate Grandma Keaches birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA! After that Ken's parents and sister and brother-in-law and us are going to Menominee Park Zoo in Oshkosh. They have a petting zoo there as well. Lot's of Animal Petting this weekend! :-) I will take pictures of course.......

Have a good night!

Enjoy these days!

The last couple of days were filled with fun! Sunday we went to the pool with daddy. Kamryn showed him how much fun she has. I have pictures of them at the end of the blog. Kamryn also has a new trick that she showed us at the pool on Sunday as you will see as well.

Monday Jodie came over to watch Kam while I went to interview for a part-time evening job at Michael's! I thought the money that I would get paid would turn around and get used at the store with a discount! So I find out at the end of the week whether or not I get hired or not. If I don't that's okay, but it didn't hurt to try. Isaiah will keep me busy enough I'm sure! But, thanks Jodie for watching Kamryn. She had fun.

Today we went to go pick up Kamryn's 9 month pictures from Sears, grocery shopping and Kohl's. The day has flown by with not a lot done in the house. OH WELL! There is always tomorrow............

Have a good night!

Gets Better and Better

What a great weekend! Yesterday Janell came up for Scrapbooking at our church and that was fun. We tried to get caught up on our kids albums, which seems like a lost cause because we are always taking pictures!

Anyways, then Janell came back to the house to visit with Kamryn and we decided that Kamryn and I should go back to Mayville to visit with Grandpa Zastrow since he was off all weekend which doesn't happen often. So we did just that. And we had a blast as you will see from the pictures. We had a bonfire at night which was just fun! We laughed and laughed. In fact I don't remember the last time I laughed that much.

And then of course today we will be going to the pool with Daddy!

I knew having a child was going to be a blast, but to watch Kamryn become her own person has been a dream come true! Kaden and her get along so well I am so excited to watch them become best friends.

What a great weekend!

Busy Couple Days

The last few days we have been running around like crazy! Yesterday we went swimming which was an experience all it itself. Kamryn and I went with Carly, Aidan and Sienna. Well, Aidan had never been to the pool before, but had been to the beach and loved it. So he went ahead of us to "check out" the slide at Mead Pool. Well he took one step in and didn't realize the next step was in 3 ft of water. He went under hands flailing, head bobbing up and down in the water. It was the scariest thing obviously not just for him, but for Carly, myself and everyone watching. The lifeguard jumped in as well as Carly and thankfully he was fine just scared as you can imagine! Aidan was a bit shy of the water for a bit, but by the end of the day he was splishing and splashing all over.

Kamryn met a boy at the pool. His name was Jackson and wouldn't leave her alone all day. Wherever Kamryn crawled to Jackson was right there. It was so cute, I took a picture of them. Not a very good one, but none the less. (Don't worry Isaiah you are her first pick!)

Then last night I went to swimtastics..........FUN! I will be doing that more often. It was a gorgeous night, the breeze was a bit chilly but overall nice.

Today we went shopping at the mall, Archivers, lunch at Noodles and then Barnes and Noble. It was very nice.

Ken is fishing tonight until late and tomorrow I am off to scrapping!! Yeaaa, I am really excited, I have a bunch of pictures and not enough layouts! Go Figure. So hopefully it will be a productive day. We'll see..........Janell is coming up as well so it should be a really fun day.

Sunday Ken and I plan on going to Mead Pool with Kamryn. He has never seen her at the pool, so I am excited for him to see how much fun she has swimming.

Have a good night!

See the boy with the sunvisor on???? That's "THE BOY"...........
