Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS! I hope everyone had a great Christmas and that you all got to spend time with family and friends.

Ken and I are very thankful to have had the opportunity to do just that, but are just as thankful to be back home! It has been a very busy couple of weeks. Traveling to Mayville for Christmas parties before Christmas and then again for Christmas!

Kamryn got spoiled once again this year by grandparents and aunts and uncles. I can't really complain for myself either. I got Ken the WII and I guess he also got me the WII, but figured it out and then took his back and got me the WII Fit Plus which I love! So we both got spoiled for Christmas. :-) It was nice to be able to spend time with family as well. The time usually goes by way to quickly and we never get a chance to visit with ALL of my relatives which stinks. The Finke side of the family used to get together, but that changed a couple of years ago and now nobody does it which is unfortunate, because that is when everyone always got to see those we don't get to see all the time. But sometimes that's how life goes.

Anyways, now unto New Years! We don't have any big plans. Grilling steak and having shrimp with maybe a glass or two of wine and playing WII! I think either my parents or Ken's parents maybe coming up to celebrate with us, but other than that, just spending time with each other.

I hope 2010 brings everything that you are wishing and hoping for!

Cookies and Santa Oh My!

December is always busy for us and probably for most of you!

Christmas shopping, baking cookies, decorating the house and the list could go on and on.

However, Christmas is my favorite holiday. I love remembering about baby Jesus being born and now sharing that with Kamryn and then of course spending time with familiy some of which we only get to see once a year. It's always a bit stressful running here and there, but it's worth it in my opinion!

The last week or so we have been decorating the house and baking christmas cookies and of course our visit with Santa!

Kamryn is so much fun this year, because I think she may just be starting to "get" it. We talk to her about Christmas and what it means and she says it's Jesus' birthday soon and sings him happy birthday! It's so cute! This year, we got her a twin bed with Dora the Explorer sheets. She gets so many neat toys and gifts from Grandma's and Grandpa's and Aunts and Uncles we thought a "big" girl bed would be great and that way hopefully sleeps through the night in HER bed instead of sneaking into our bed! :-)

If I don't blog agian until after Christmas I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Blessed New Year! We have so much to be thankful for. Please remember our troops who won't be home for Christmas and keep them in your prayers!!

Enjoy the snow!!!!
