Crazy couple of days!

Once again I haven't been here in awhile.

I do have some news however. I am a new auntie to my handsome nephew Saywer Fredrick! He was born June 12th. He is such a good baby! Janell got lucky with this one. :-) We just got back home from being in Mayville since Sunday. Kamryn and I stayed by Auntie Nell and Uncle Bills house to help out where needed. It was a lot of fun. More sitting around and chit chatting and not so much working, but it was a good time. Kaden and Kamryn got to fight, oops I mean play together! I really do think they love each other, but my god do they fight! I was at my wits end by today.

But lets go back to Saturday night for a moment or two. Picture this, I am folding laundry on our bed and of course Kamryn wants to "help" mommy. She gets up on our bed and starts "helping". I take the clothes that I had already folded of hers and put them in her room. And as I am doing this mind you it was less than 30 seconds I hear a big thump and then screaming! I run into our room to find Kamryn on our floor crying with her left arm limp to her side. I didn't think anything of it because she has fallen out of our bed before cried for a couple of seconds and is off running again, but this time not so much. She wouldn't stop crying! This was about 8:30pm. We thought maybe she was just tired and needed to go to bed. So we rocked and she fell asleep until about 10:30pm and was up again crying in pain.

I woke Ken up and told him we need to take her to the ER because something is wrong. After of course a very long wait in the waiting room and then again in our room they take x-rays of Kamryn's arm. They find nothing, but since she still couldn't move the arm they put her arm in a splint gave her a popsicle and told us to see our ped on Monday to reevaluate. (Gotta Love the ER) So we leave the ER at 2am on Sunday! Happy Father's Day daddy!

So I am still determined to go back to Mayville as planned and Kamryn seems to be doing better with her splint on. She was swollen, but no big deal. On Monday I call our ped who tell's us they are just going to repeat x-rays and basically send us to an orthopedic dr anyways. So we just set up the appt with them. I drive back to Appleton to take Kamryn to her appt which was at 1:45pm. They of course want to take more x-rays because ER takes the easiest and fastest x-rays. So the dr can see that Kamryn's elbow is swollen and guesses that that is where her pain is. Well after having gone through torture with the x-rays and after Kamryn puked on me in x-rays because she was crying so hard we have an answer............

Kamryn has a fracture in her humerus bone. The dr we saw doesn't mess with these kinds of fractures because of the high risk of maybe needing surgery! YIKES. She assured us that Kamryn wouldn't need surgery. Please pray that she won't!

Dr did say that we need to come back on Thursday to have Kamryn's arm casted. Since her arm was so swollen they couldn't do it on Monday. So tomorrow we get my baby's arm casted. I took the news harder than she did, because I am her mom and I'm not suppose to let anything bad happen to her. I feel that this is my fault! I have beat myself up over this and I'm sure tomorrow won't be easy for me. Thankfully Ken is coming with. I know I shouldn't feel bad, but I do and I'm trying to make this a learning experience and move on, but everyone I see Kamryn cry and say it hurts I feel for her. :-(

Anyways I will of course take pictures of her cast and post them here and on facebook.

Here are some pictures from the last couple of days anyhow.

Please keep Kamryn in your prayers for a speedy recovery!

Vacation Bible School!

When I was younger I clearly remember Janell and I going to vacation bible school with my Aunt Lillie in the summer when she babysat us. I think she used to teach some of it or just brought us. Okay, maybe it's not as clear as I thought! lol

Anyways, so this year we thought it would be great for Kamryn to go. Our church has VBS at night so that parents are able to join in with their children. Great idea! So Sunday was our first night, we forgot our camera, but Kamryn did okay. Ken and I both agree that she is to young to "get it" and her attention span definetly is not their. But she enjoys each thing for a little while before saying "all done". :-)

VBS goes until Thursday however I work tomorrow night and Thursday afternoon Kamryn and I are going home so we can help my mom with Kaden and then get to visit Janell in the hospital on Friday with my new niece or nephew. Kaden is hoping for a sister so let's keep our fingers crossed for him. :-)

So here are some pictures from VBS last night. I can't explain them because I was at work so daddy took Kamryn. It looks like she had a really good time though!

Please keep Janell and baby in your prayers! I will be on Facebook on Friday as soon as Janell gives us the news. So those of you on Facebook stay tuned!
