Lions and Tigers and Bears......OH MY!

Today we decided to go to the Greenville Zoo. Ken has never been there and it was such a nice day. Gunner needed to stay home and rest from his stunt on Friday that he is still limping with. We now think he may have broken his toe. It looked a little red and he won't let us touch it. If Gunner would be a cat he would have used all nine lives by now and he's only 7!

Anyways, the zoo was not that crowded when we went so it went pretty fast. We also took the train tour as well since we were there when the ride was open. Kamryn wasn't a big fan at first, but as soon as the train started moving and she knew it was safe she had a good time!

The afternoon went fast! We grilled out for dinner and just spent time outside. The weekends always go by so fast and I enjoy spending it with my family.

Here are some pictures from today!

Kamryn got to pet a baby fox. She thought that was pretty cool.

Baby goats only 14 days old!

Cows! Who would have thought huh?

Kamryn loved the bunnies, however, didn't want to hold them!

What is this blogger thing all about!

So I know I know it's been a long time since I've blogged. So here it goes again..........

Last night we had our third annual Puls Fish Fry with our Young Adult group from church. It is always a good time and good fellowship. I wish more people from our church would participate and we are trying to find ways to make that happen. Anyways, it was good fish and a beautiful day to have it.

Today Outreach from our church went around our neighborhood handing out information about our VBS program and about our church. We didn't have to knock on doors thankfully, but just put flyers on their door. It was a nice walk. Then Becky and I decided to do some errand running to Archivers, JoAnn's, Chili's for chips and salsa and GNC (which was a lost cause). We then drove past the park on Kensington and Kamryn spotted that right out. So Becky and I decided to take the kids to the park. We decided on Schaefer since we knew it wouldn't be as busy, however, that park isn't made for toddlers, so the kids didn't have as good of time as the park on Kensington. Lesson learned. However, Kamryn FINALLY went on the swing at the park and LOVED it! Last year she loved it and hated the slides. Now this year she loves the slide and hates the swing at the park. The swing we have in the backyard we can't get her out of. I think it was because she saw Isaiah on it, which helped. It was a very nice day spending it with a good friend!

On another side note, I am now working at Gold's Gym in the kids club. It is only 2-3 days a week and one Saturday a month. Kamryn can come with me which is a bonus. Therefore, I have decided to take next year off of babysitting. It's just gotten to be to much. I am not able to spend as much time with Kamryn which I the reason I decided to be a stay at home mom in the first place. And also, I am not able to keep the house as clean and tidy as I would like it to be. I have no idea how mom's that work 40 hours a day and have to come home make dinner, get the house clean etc do it?!?!?! I don't, I really really don't! It's never ending.

Anyways, so that is my life in a nutshell so far. My sister is due to have her baby on June 19th, but hopefully sooner! I am looking forward to being an Aunt again! I just wished I lived a little closer so I can spend more time with them! But this summer I think I will be spending a lot more time in Mayberry. Kamryn and Kaden can have a good time playing together and I can help my sister out and start spoiling the baby!!! :-)

Take care, I will try to more proficient with blogging!

Kitchen

Everytime Kamryn has gone over to either Adam and Carly's or Shelly and Deans she plays with the kitchen set that their kids have. So we decided since she has really begun to imaginative play we should invest in one.

What we didn't know is that the kitchen set that we wanted was almost $200 bucks! OUCH! So we didn't go with the big fancy one. We wanted to get her one but realistically we knew she would get sick of it eventually, probably sooner rather than later. So it is still a nice kitchen that she LOVES, but just cheaper! :-)

We looked at Wal-Mart, Shopko, and Toy's R Us and lo and behold we found it at Fleet Farm!!! My dad will be sooooooo proud!!

Tomorrow is mother's day so it will be spent with Ken and Kamryn! Not sure what the day has planned, but together with family is always fun.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's that read this! We have so much to be thankful for. Being a mom is ALOT of work, but it is sooooo worth it.

Kamryn just flipped mom a burger!

Kam taking after her mom on the phone already!

Rummaging

Once again, I apologize for the lack of blogging! I think during the warm days you can expect less, because I don't have time to blog while being outside until dark!

Anyways, this past week was crazy! Ken went home Tuesday night because he had to turkey hunt Wed-Sun. Kamryn and I went home on Thursday to help my mom with her rummage sale Friday and Saturday. I think the sale went well, we sold a bunch of stuff. In fact my parents sold so much they starting bringing stuff that they didn't think of selling down from the barn and put that for sale as well!

Kamryn and Kaden played so well together. It is so much fun watching them grow up together. I just can't get enough of it. They fight just like brother and sister so you have to keep an eye on them or Kaden will push Kamryn over and Kamryn will hit Kaden or yell at him.

Kens parents were putting a new roof on the house so on Saturday Kamryn and I went over there in the afternoon and spent the night over there. Kamryn loved Corey's dog Tucker and infact still asks for him now.

Yesterday was my first day as an employee at Gold's Gym and it went very well. The people all seemed very nice! It's just going to be tough to get all the kids and parents names down.

Sorry no pictures, Ken had the camera this past weekend. Oh, Ken did get a turkey
22lbs.

That's all for now!
